The above message was yesterday (or Sunday night late). I made it to the studio yesterday (Monday) and finished placing and filling back up the small flat file cabinet, so I added to the video. The old one stopped at the "potential frame" slide. Crazy stuff.
I found a few fun sketches and I painted an orange ground on another big canvas. Notice the paper I put down so I don't mess up the carpet. Ha ha ha, I wonder how long I'll be concerned about the carpet!

Studio Reset Phase One

Long time no talk... been busy of course.
I just did an experimental video/slide show for you showing my studio and what's going on.

A Quick Post, turns into a long Update!

It's International Womens Day! Happy International Womens Day woman! LoL!

Here is my quick post that is taking forever because my computer decided it was time for a lengthy update.... stay calmmmm.....

I believe this "Two Feather Lady"is finished and ready to celebrate her international accomplishments.

There are three pieces of paper glued onto this canvas, but only one is visible in the final product. Hmmm. All good. See that yellow up there? That is before I started adding a tiny bit of dioxazine purple to tone it down. Looks gold or ochre now.

Sailboats, sailboats galore! A few little snaps of my sailboat progress...

This one above was the first one I finished, then...

Bamm, out flew two more! The penny is there to give an idea of the size of these "itty bitty's".

And last but not least.... the model sailboat arrived!

Portraits, portraits.... I need to practice portraits!! Hey, maybe an elf portrait.

Aaaaa..... I better go to work, my computer is finally updated. 😅

I took some non-drowsy cold medicine before bed last night, that was a bad idea. As a result, I'm here on my computer playing around and this painting is still on my mind....

What do you think of the new blocked in revision?

I have a model sailboat coming today, I hope...

Did I tell you someone suggested I paint a sailboat? They did.

Well, sometimes I have to just start, because I will research until my heart's content if I'm not careful to just get started! I'm debating keeping the sky orange...then I thought, Photoshop! 

I photoshopped a sky... I think I may have answered my question and..... I'm thinking about painting this 6 feet by 4 feet... what do you think?

Or, should I do this beach house 4 feet by 6 feet?

Golf Season is Coming!

Myra! Hi!

After talking about portraits... well, here is a fledgling attempt. I tried doing it by some memory only. This painting is one of the invisible women paintings from a while ago. I may change the title to "Under the Hair Dryer" ha, ha, ha.

I picked up a "how to" portrait book for a refresher and I will start doing my practice drawings of heads.

I'm still working on the buildings... thought I would look at it in grey scale to see if that will help me along. 

I'll go after it again tomorrow! In the mean time, would you like to see a nice family photo?

I stopped for a break and a photo op with John Ross's chainsaw art people.

Well, I better get back to studying, I have a lot to learn.
